"This Group Standard applies to the development of embedded software at the BMW Group and its suppliers. It addresses the development of:

       NOTE Application software includes apps in a head-unit.

       This Group Standard is applicable for the development of safety-related and non-safety-related embedded software developments for vehicles of the BMW Group. As such the softwarerelated parts of the Technical Safety Concept are applicable for the development of the embedded software, while the hardware-related parts are out of the scope of this Group Standard.
